Bharat has millennia old culture of the ‘Mother cow’ – i.e. Gaumata being central to the Economy, Health and Happiness of our society. As Swami Vivekanand has rightly said that Bharat will not be built by merely becoming an economic super power but by instilling its core values of ‘RENUNCIATION’ and ‘SERVICE’ as the twin ideals on which Bharat stands. Having acknowledged this it’s high time to re-establish the culture and values on which Bharat has to be rebuilt in the 21stcentury.

As we know that, India being an agrarian economy also enjoys the distinction of having six lakhs villages in its fold and abode to 70% human population with animal husbandry as a part of social and cultural heritage, depicts the need of mother cow to be the means for achieving prosperity and upholding ecological dimension of rural Bharat. Gaumata enjoys the most pious and significant space in the livestock sector due to various factors.
